The summer school will concern in priority Master or PHD students or young researchers in mathematics. It will concern also students or young researchers in domains linked to the Neurosciences, which are interested to Mathematics.
The lessons will not require special knowledge at PhD level (in pure mathematics, applied mathematics or biology).

The different objectives of this school are :

  • Presenting an overview of the different mathematical domains involved in Neurosciences,

  • To present these domains in a attainable way to mathematicians or neurobiologists using mathematical tools,

  • To draw towards Neurosciences mathematicians, and reciprocally to introduce to Neurobiologist the mathematical theories useful for their research,

  • Favour the collaborations between researchers of the two domains.

Preliminary Courses :

Two days of introduction to mathematics for researchers or students in Neurosciences , and respectively two days courses in Neuroscience for mathematicians will be organized on June, 9 and 10 at Centre informatique et modélisation in Paris (ESPCI - 10, Vauquelin Street, Paris 5ème).

The number of places are limited for these two introduction courses (30 for mathematics lessons and 30 for Neurosciences).

Limited accommodation will be available at the Paris International Accommodation Center ( Centre International de Séjour à Paris, CISP), see the map of the Résidence Kellermann area.
Lunch (except on the weekend) and accommodation will be covered by the summer school.
The participants will have to pay for their travel expenses.

A limited number of rooms will be available at the CISP (Kellermann Residence) from June 9th to June 12th for those taking part in the Introduction course. (Unfortunately, we still do not know whether the school will be able to cover the costs for this period).
